We left the sunshine coast for a short drive to Brisbane. We checked into small but quiet caravan park in Newmarket with a lovely little creek running past and great tree lined walk and park. The next day we did some shopping and chores around the caravan then went to Kate and Lon for dinner and a good chat with old friends and also met their 3 year old daughter Meaghan for the first time.
On the Tuesday we dropped the car off for a service at Toyota and they in turn dropped us off in the city for the day. The driver gave us some great info about Brisbane along the way. We took a cruise down the river with coffee and scones. It was a very interesting cruise with lots of information. We were then picked up by Toyota and taken back to to fetch the car but had to wait an hour for it to be finished. We then dashed off to Kate and Lon for dinner again as it was their 7th annivesary. Lon has a major problem with his neck so we nearly had to cancel. Lon had neck surgery about 10 days later.
